is delighted to be making it's new home at the wonderful London Improv
Theatre, 2 mins from Finchley Road tube station!
We'll be there on the Third Friday of every month, and our theme for
January 19th is Anything Goes. So whatever your creative passion, be it
singing, playing an instrument, poetry, drama or prose, dance, magic or
stand up, make The Dial Up your space to shine!

The Dial Up This September!
The Dial Up is delighted to announce that from September we are back in London!
As well as our usual Watford Fresh Shop event on the second Saturday of the month, and our Kitchen Croxley event on the third Thursday, we will now also be at the wonderful London Improv Theatre on Finchley Road on the third Friday of every month! And even more exciting, the terrific Jon Medcalf will be back on piano! Rehearsing with him last week brought back happy memories of when he arranged the piano part for my apocalyptic jazz song Getting Near The End of the World, video above.

The Dial Up Summer Festival!
Hi Everyone,
As ever we have two events this June: The Fresh Shop Dial Up, 7.30pm on Saturday 17th is themed Birds and Beasts, while The Kitchen Croxley Dial Up, 7.30pm on Thursday 15th is a Drama Special.
Then this summer, alongside our usual open mic events, we'll be hosting two special festival events in Cassiobury Park! The first is Picnic at the Bandstand, a wonderful afternoon of music, and the second is a chance to get out your paint pots and pencils for Watercolour Challenge! The Dial Up this Spring!
Such great fun at our Singing the Blues Dial Up this April! The next event is our Easter Sunday Special, 3.15pm at the Kitchen Croxley, where as a festive treat (or trick, though that's Halloween...) I'll be singing an extended set of some of my favourite jazz and musical theatre tunes.
Then please do join me and the whole Dial Up family for our inimitable celebration of community and creativity and Watford's freshest open mic night in May! On Saturday 13th at the Fresh Shop Cafe/ Hidden Bar our theme will be Heroes and Villains- as ever, ignore or interpret as you choose!
Then from May onwards we're shifting our Kitchen Croxley events to the third THURSDAY of each month, so join us on Thursday May 18th at Kitchen Croxley for a night of great company and music.

March at The Dial Up!

And final bit of news, I've been selected as one of 10 playwrights to feature in The Pensive Foundation's Theatre Festival. Running from 14th- 17th March at The Vaults Theatre, Waterloo, the evenings will feature a series of short plays by the selected writers. If you're interested in coming, I'll be in the audience on Tuesday 14th and Saturday 17th (and maybe Wednesday 18th), but the play's on every night so do come if you're free- it'd be lovely to see you! I'll post more details on Facebook and feel free to email if you'd like more details!
